How to get Mac to see Inkplate 13 Spectra?

I’m following the Quick Start Guide to no avail.

I unboxed my Inkplate 13 Spectra, pressed the I/O button once for the blue LED light to come on, connected the USB cable to the Inkplate and my mac, and got the Arduino IDE libraries setup. But the Arduino IDE can’t ever find a port for, nor connect to the Inkplate.

The Mac does not acknowledge that the Inknplate is connected at all. Pressing (and pressing+holding) the Reset button on the back does not help.

Am I missing some setting or step?

Hello @cory
Could you try installing the CH340 drivers? You can find them online, this was the first link I stumbled upon. Also make sure to use the USB cable bundled with the device to ensure it has data transfer capabilities.
Let us know if it works after installing them.

I installed the mac drivers from here (as a dmg, so I’m not using MacOS’s Rosetta) and after allowing the extension in System Preferences it worked. thhanks!
