Infrared receiver module Arduino IDE 1.0.6 library compatibility error

Customer:

Your example doesn’t specify which library to use. I tried IRemote but it doesn’t work. The same example in the original source also doesn’t work. Has anyone on your technical team tested this example? If so, which library did you use? I’m attaching an error log that shows the library isn’t being recognized. I removed RobotIRemote from Arduino IDE 1.0.6.

Original message (Croatian)

U vasem primjeru niste naveli library. Ja sam upotrebio IRemote, ali

ne funkcionira. Isti takav primer u originalu takodjer ne funkcionira.

prepoznaje librarary. Iz IDE 1.0.6 maknuo sam RobotIRemote.

Soldered Support:

In the KKM documentation under the “Arduino kod” section, there’s a link to download the library: Soldered: Open-Source Electronics, Boards, Sensors & Modules – Soldered Electronics Click on the text “Arduino biblioteku” which will take you to GitHub and give you the option to download it (screenshot attached).

Customer:

I used the library from GitHub Z30 and also tried the latest version IRemote 2.4.0 with their IRremote demo example, but I still get an error indicating a library problem. I deleted RobotIRemote. Here’s the error output:

Hvala na brzom odgovoru. No library koji sam upotrbio je upravo GitHub

Z30, pokusa sam i sa zadnjom verzijom IRemote2.4.0. i probao sam

njihov primjer IRemote demo no svejedno javlja pogresku koja ukazuje

na neispravnost library. Prilzem ispis pogreske Napominjem da sam

izbrisao RobotIRemote.

Customer:

I found another library Arduino-IRemote-Master.zip that compiles successfully with Arduino IDE 1.0.6. I can’t find the original source though. I’ll send it in the next message.

Original message (Croatian)

Salen vam u slijedecej poruci. pozdrav

Soldered Support:

Everything works fine for us. I see now that you’re using Arduino IDE 1.0.6. Can you install the latest version? Download it here: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software

Original message (Croatian)

kod nas sve radi okej. Vidim tek sada da imate Arduino IDE 1.0.6. Možete li instalirati najnoviju verziju? Skinite ju ovdje: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software

Customer:

I have the newer version 1.8 as well but I trust the older one more. It opens and compiles faster. I’ll try with 1.8. For now I’m testing versions for specific types, for example Philips RC5. That library is much simpler and clearer. Universality comes at a cost.

Original message (Croatian)

Zahvaljujem. Imam i noviju verziju 1.8 ali vise vjerujem starijoj.

jednostavniji i jasniji.Univerzalnost se placa.Pozdrav.

Soldered Support:

You’re right, it has its advantages. But I think the older version uses an older compiler and that’s why this library doesn’t work. I say this because the same code compiles successfully for me using version 1.8.1. Let me know the results!

Original message (Croatian)
