I’ve been trying to get ESPHome to run in my Inkplate 10 but I’ve been running into issues. I followed the examples for Inkplate 6 with some slight modifications but keep failing.

Do you have a newer Inkplate 10 with the purple PCB? That one uses a different GPIO expander which requires a different board definition in Arduino IDE and has some differences in the driver. See the documentation at Inkplate Arduino — Inkplate docs documentation for an explanation of the difference.
We have a private repository for ESPHome that we made for newer Inkplate models. It includes the config and a driver for the GPIO expander. Using this should allow you to configure it correctly.
