Inkplate 10 screen frozen on default image, not responding to uploads

Customer:

I have an Inkplate 10 that does not seem to work. I tested with Arduino 1.8 and Arduino 2.0.3. I am able to push code to the Inkplate, but it succeeds in connecting very randomly. I often have to push the I/O button before clicking on the Upload button. After investigation, I see that the image is indeed uploaded as I receive serial data from the Inkplate on my computer. However no graphical features work. Nothing changes, even using the sample projects from the GitHub. My screen seems frozen on the default image that came with the tablet - the one with the Coliseum and the “Welcome to Inkplate!” message. The first time I connected the tablet to USB, I clicked the I/O button and the monitor did flash from black to white, then reloaded the default picture. But since then, the Inkplate does not react to anything on screen. I did not upload any sketch or code when I tested that. I think this unit has a technical issue.

Soldered Support:

There is a new version of the Inkplate library that must be used. You can resolve this by using Arduino 1.8 and installing the board definition using this link (copy to preferences and download board definition): https://github.com/e-radionicacom/Dasduino-Board-Definitions-for-Arduino-IDE/raw/dev/package_Dasduino_Boards_index.json

Download the library from this link, unzip it, and copy it to the Arduino libraries folder: https://github.com/e-radionicacom/Dasduino-Board-Definitions-for-Arduino-IDE/raw/dev/package_Dasduino_Boards_index.json

This is a development branch of the library that is being worked on.
