Inkplate 10 upload fails with "Unable to verify flash chip connection" error

Customer:

I received an Inkplate 10 and installed Arduino IDE on a MacBook Air running macOS 15.1.1 (Sequoia). The board connects and shows as “Soldered Inkplate 10” on port “/dev/cu.usbserial-10”. When I try to upload one of the example sketches (black and white basic one), I get this error: A fatal error occurred: Unable to verify flash chip connection (Invalid head of packet (0xE0): Possible serial noise or corruption.). I have tried several USB cables. What am I doing wrong?

Soldered Support:

macOS already includes CH340 drivers, so that’s correct. Arduino IDE 2.0 and newer is recommended. The USB Serial connection appears to be fine and properly connected to the Arduino IDE. On macOS, a lower baud rate sometimes resolves this issue. Try setting the baud rate to 115200 in the Tools menu.

Fixed it with a different cable.
