Inkplate 2 battery voltage limits and compatibility

Customer:

I just purchased an Inkplate 2 board and saw there is a place for BAT+ and BAT-. Can I use a 2S 7.4V battery for the BAT+ and BAT- pins? Is there any voltage limit for the BAT input?

Soldered Support:

You cannot use a 2S battery (7.4V). Inkplate 2 can only use a 1S Li-Ion battery with a maximum voltage of 4.2V. On the BAT+ pin, you can connect a voltage between 3.3V and 4.2V, which is the standard voltage range for a Li-Ion battery.
