Customer:

How do I display a photo and QR code like the out-of-box example? Where can I find that example?

Try the advanced>WiFi>Show pictures from Web example.

Make an image with the QR code in it where you want it. You can use a free photo editor like even paint or PhotoPea. PNG format works best. The image should be 214 x 104 px.

Upload the image to an image hosting site like imgur.com and get the direct link to the image (right click - copy image address, should look something like this https://i.imgur.com/e2xPYMM.jpeg )

Then, put your WiFi SSID and password in the sketch. The code you need to call then is:

display.drawImage("your-imgur-link", 0, 0, false, false);
display.display();

If you want the image to be dithered (i reccomend it, it looks better), try

display.drawImage("your-imgur-link", 0, 0, true, false);
display.display();
