Customer:
My Inkplate 5 has a completely unresponsive display, it is frozen on the last program I ran. I have tried flashing it with the default Arduino sketches, but the display does not respond or refresh. The ESP32 is responsive and I can connect to it to upload code, and there is power in the unit. It seems like the display itself has lost power. Is there a troubleshooting step I can take?

Try to re-connect the flat cable. It’s a magnetic style connector which you can easily separate and then snap back into place. Be careful when you do this as the flat cable is delicate and sensitive to creasing but you can handle it easily. After reconnecting it, try your sketch again. If that still doesn’t work, try again with uploading one of the basic examples (black and white or grayscale). These examples should always refresh the screen.
