Inkplate 5 Gen2 with PIR sensor: depth measurements and easyC compatibility

Customer:

I’m planning to use an Inkplate 5 Gen2 in a photo frame with a PIR sensor that will trigger display refreshes. I need to know the depth of your PIR sensors to check if they’ll fit in the frame. Your website lists width and height, but not depth. Also, would the PIR easyC version work well with the Inkplate’s easyC connectors, and would I need an easyC connector cable for this setup?

Soldered Support:

Yes, the PIR easyC sensors are ideal for this because they’re plug-and-play with the easyC connector already on the Inkplate. This easyC connector is the same as Qwiic or StemmaQT used elsewhere.

The range is 3 to 5 meters, which should work well for your application. You’ll use it alongside the Inkplate library. The PIR sensor library is available at: GitHub - SolderedElectronics/Soldered-PIR-movement-sensor-with-qwiic-Arduino-Library · GitHub
