Inkplate 6 MOTION JPG decoding error in Image_From_Web example

Customer:

I’m using Inkplate 6 MOTION and have questions about the two examples in the Inkplate_Motion_Arduino_Library.

  1. In Inkplate_6_Motion_Image_From_Web.ino, a decoding error occurs with JPG files. PNG works fine. Interestingly, JPG works normally in Inkplate_6_Motion_Images_From_SD.ino. What causes this difference?

  2. When I modify code in Inkplate_6_Motion_Image_From_Web.ino and execute it multiple times, only the first image succeeds. After that, an error occurs in the web connection. What causes this?

Additionally, would you provide an example similar to Inkplate6FLICK_Image_Frame_From_Web.ino from the Inkplate-Arduino-library? I’m working on an example that receives a JSON message via MQTT with an image URL.

Soldered Support:

This is a JPG decoder limitation issue that we’ve worked on patching. We’ve increased the buffer memory. Try the current ‘dev’ version of the library at GitHub - SolderedElectronics/Inkplate_Motion_Arduino_Library at dev · GitHub. This fix should resolve both the JPG decoding error and the repeated execution issue.
