Customer:
I’m running an Inkplate 6 PLUS and receiving an error when the system boots. I’m unable to display images on the screen. The error message is: “Wavefrom load failed! Upload new waveform in EEPROM. Using default waveform.” I’ve found references to this being a known issue with the Inkplate 10, but documentation and example links appear broken. How can I resolve this?

Soldered Support:
The Inkplate 6 PLUS has only one waveform which is hardcoded - it does not need to be changed. The error string you’re seeing comes from code related to Inkplate 10 only.
First, make sure you’ve set the board definition correctly in Arduino. Go to Tools > Board > Inkplate Boards > Inkplate6 PLUS before uploading.
Also, ensure you’re using an example for the Inkplate 6 PLUS specifically. Load the example from Arduino > Examples > InkplateLibary > Inkplate6PLUS > Basic > Inkplate6PLUS_Black_And_White
If the issue persists after uploading this example, verify that you have the latest version of the library and the latest board definitions, then try again.
