Inkplate 6COLOR MicroPython examples not running after upload

Customer:

I’m following the tutorial at GitHub - SolderedElectronics/Inkplate-micropython: MicroPython driver for Soldered Inkplate devices · GitHub to set up my Inkplate 6COLOR. When I try to upload any of the examples to the device using:

python3 pyboard.py --device /dev/cu.usbserial-3120 "Examples/Inkplate6COLOR/drawColorImage.py"

I get a Python prompt but nothing displays on the device itself. The boot output shows:

How can I get this working?

Soldered Support:

The MicroPython library is not the one we support primarily and is missing some Inkplate features. We strongly recommend using the Arduino library instead.

That said, the MicroPython firmware appears to have flashed correctly based on your boot output. Have you completed step 5 where the libraries are copied? Have you powered on the Inkplate via the power button (indicated by the blue LED on the board next to the power button)?

To help diagnose this further, could you test your Inkplate 6COLOR by uploading a basic Arduino sketch example? This would verify that the device is working correctly. Note that you will need to repeat steps 1-4 when re-adding MicroPython afterwards.
