Inkplate 6COLOR schematic, RTC address, and board manager setup

Customer:

I have an Inkplate 6COLOR that powers up via USB. The battery charger works and charged a LiPo successfully. I can’t find a schematic for the board. I’ve started working on the code and ran an I2C scan, which found an address of 0x51 - I believe this could be the RTC module. Is the RTC part number PFC8563? A schematic would help me understand what’s on the board and how it’s wired. I set the Arduino IDE board manager definition to “ESP32 Wrover Module” and it seemed to work, but is that the best option?

Soldered Support:

The hardware files for Inkplate 6COLOR are available at: https://github.com/SolderedElectronics/Soldered-Inkplate-6COLOR-hardware-design/tree/main/OUTPUTS/V1.2.1

The RTC should be at address 0x51 and code for it is already written in the Inkplate Library. The correct board manager definition is ‘Soldered Inkplate6COLOR’. Follow this tutorial to ensure everything is installed correctly: Inkplate Get Started Page — Inkplate docs documentation

Try out the examples for Inkplate6COLOR in the library - they demonstrate all the features including the RTC.

For the bridge you may need to solder, it is located at R16 on this board.
