I’m impressed with Inkplate, and I understand it’s primarily aimed at makers and tinkering. Is there a pathway to make a rudimentary ebook reader out of it? I’m thinking about putting KOreader software on it. Is there any way to get rudimentary PDF/EPUB support with Inkplate? I know how to program and would like to know if it’s feasible. Does anyone use Inkplate with EPUB or PDF?

Soldered Support:

Yes, we have worked with Inkplate 6FLICK to create an example for an e-Book reader. It does work but requires converting your book into essentially .jpg files which you put on the SD card in a folder. This was the best way to do text rendering on it. Check out the project here:
