Inkplate 6PLUS sketch uploads but board unresponsive after reset

Customer:

I’m uploading example sketches to the Inkplate and the upload completes successfully, but nothing happens when the system resets or when I perform a hard reset by power cycling. The display still shows the “Thanks for supporting Inkplate!” picture, the backlight won’t come on, and I can’t get any response via the Serial Monitor.

This is the result of uploading the “Touchscreen_Draw” demo, for example:

Writing at 0x0005d718… (100 %)
Wrote 318560 bytes (164743 compressed) at in 4.5 seconds (effective 565.5 kbit/s)…
Hash of data verified.

Hard resetting via RTS pin…

I can’t find any helpful troubleshooting tips for this and I’m stuck. Any suggestions?

Soldered Support:

Which version of the Inkplate 6PLUS do you have - “Inkplate 6PLUS” or “Inkplate 6PLUS-USB only”?

You can try removing the panel connector, cleaning it, and putting it back in place. Can you also try uploading some other examples that don’t use touch?
