Inkplate battery: weather example boot-loops on battery power

Customer:

I received the replacement battery and charged it for several hours. My custom WiFi example works perfectly with the new battery - it contacts my website, reads JSON, and displays values, refreshing every minute and updating the screen when something changes. However, the weather example from your repository still does not work: it remains boot-looping when run from battery.
