Inkplate library temperature sensor issues and account registration

Customer:

I’m having problems with the latest release of the Inkplate library (Version 5.7.0 has breaking changes from 5.5.1 · Issue #145 · SolderedElectronics/Inkplate-Arduino-library · GitHub). I’m using the built-in temperature sensor. I always ensure that the screen is on and has been updated at least once before reading the temperature.

I’ve also released my code as open source at GitHub - lanrat/homeplate: Trmnl & Home Assistant E-Ink dashboard on the Inkplate displays · GitHub. I put a lot of work into this to get my Inkplate to fully take advantage of all of the hardware, and added features like knowing which touchpad created a wake event, and limited support for partial screen updates in 3 bit mode. I’d be curious to hear your comments and thoughts. It should not be hard to port to the other Inkplate hardware if you’re interested.

My colleague answered your issue on Github and suggests installing the latest version from the master branch. Your project looks great, nice work with Inkplate.
