Customer:
I’m running the RTC simple code on an Inkplate with a coin battery. Every time I turn it off and turn it back on, the time resets and starts from the preset time instead of continuing from where it left off. I thought the backup coin battery was supposed to keep the time running regardless of power state. Is the RTC working as it should?

This sounds like a software issue where the time is being set explicitly every time the device turns on. Check the example RTC_Alarm_With_Deep_Sleep, which is in Advanced->DeepSleep. That example demonstrates how to use the function rtcIsSet(), which checks if the RTC was set before. You should only set the time if it wasn’t already set - otherwise you’ll overwrite it.
Check that example and see if it resolves your issue. If not, feel free to share the relevant parts of your code and I can take a look and test it.
