Customer:
I’m considering an E-ink display for a writer deck project. If you get the housing and battery, does it come with USB-C and a USB slot? Could this connect to a keyboard, or would that require additional soldered hardware?

Soldered Support:
Inkplate devices come with a case and battery. USB-C is for programming the on-board ESP32, which can’t act as a USB host on its own. Connecting to a keyboard would require an external USB host board connected to the Inkplate.
Inkplate 6 MOTION is the latest model and has an STM32 with pins available for USB OTG, though there’s no software implementation yet - you’d have to write your own. With that board, it would be simpler to write a USB keyboard implementation.
