Inkplate10 drawImage displays gray dots pattern until switched to INKPLATE_3BIT mode

Customer:

I’ve solved the issue by changing to INKPLATE_3BIT mode, which removes the pattern and makes the background white. I’ve merged some of your code examples to create a script for displaying opening hours and messages on an e-ink display that can be updated instantly or remotely. This replaces sticky notes on a door with instant updates.

The gray dots you were seeing on the screen are controlled by a parameter called “dither”. This parameter is used for emulating colors—when enabled, it emulates gray color using white and black dots, so when viewed from a distance you see gray color.
