I recently purchased the L86 breakout and attached an external active antenna, but it does not appear to have any effect. What specific types of external antennas does this breakout support?

Soldered Support:
The antenna needs to be an active GPS antenna. Check the technical details on active GPS antennas to find one that matches your requirements.
Make sure it’s connected tightly to the breakout. The PPS LED will start blinking once the breakout starts receiving data. For best results, place the antenna outside. Be patient, sometimes it takes a few minutes for the GPS to finally get relevant data.

I switched out the antenna with a different one and now it is working.
