Customer:
We’ve purchased multiple Li-ion battery 5000mAh 3.7V units for our project. During testing we’re finding charging behaviour is very unpredictable and problematic. We suspect the protection circuit is clashing with our power management. Can you share the schematic of the protection circuit on the battery? It’s not in the datasheet.

Soldered Support:
We don’t have the schematic of the protection circuit on the battery - they’re received as-is from the manufacturer. It’s possible the protection circuit could be causing issues like this; it’s not uncommon in batteries.
To help troubleshoot further, could you share: what power management IC are you using, and what exactly is happening during charging?
For reference, here’s the charger circuit we use on our boards: Dasduino-CORE-Solder-kit-hardware-design/OUTPUTS/V1.1.0/Dasduino CORE Solder kit Schematics.pdf at main · SolderedElectronics/Dasduino-CORE-Solder-kit-hardware-design · GitHub
