MCP23017 easyC connector only shows GND connectivity

Customer:

I purchased easyC cables yesterday to connect the GPIO expander MCP23017 (which I previously bought from you) to reduce wire clutter.

The built-in easyC connector is NOT connected to the VCC, SDA, and SCL pins. It is only connected to GND.

I checked both modules with a meter across all 4 connectors and found the same issue on all of them.

I also checked your website and this module is listed as compatible with the easyC standard, so the pinout should be VCC, GND, SDA and SCL - or am I mistaken?

The module works fine when I connect it directly to pins, but does not work when I connect it via the easyC connector.

I have attached a photo. Green shows connectivity and red shows no connectivity.

Original message (Croatian)

Soldered Support:

The pins on the header are designed for 5V level, while easyC operates at 3.3V level. The printed circuit board has a logic level converter that converts and steps down the 5V level to 3.3V level. This is why there is no direct connection between the header (which is at 5V level) and easyC (which is at 3.3V level).

Can you tell me which development board you are connecting the GPIO expander to? The easyC connector requires 3.3V and will not work if you connect 5V. The pins on easyC are GND, 3V3, SDA, SCL. Also, can you try using the other easyC connector on the opposite side?
