Does the MFRC522 RFID reader work with Raspberry Pi 4? The product description mentions Croduino but not Raspberry Pi. I found tutorials online using RC522 with Raspberry Pi and I’m not sure if there’s a difference between RC522 and MFRC522.

The MFRC522 can be used with Raspberry Pi since it uses the SPI communication protocol. Here’s a driver that has been found to work: GitHub - ondryaso/pi-rc522: Raspberry Pi Python library for SPI RFID RC522 module · GitHub
Regarding the differences: MI stands for MiFare, which is the protocol of the RFID card. The driver’s README mentions MiFare support, so it should work with the MFRC522 board.
