The range is very short - I think you understand what I mean. My phone barely recognizes them. I’m using them for NFC Instagram stickers on cars.

NFC (near-field communication) should have a range of 2-10cm according to specification. One reason for this limitation is to prevent accidental reading of another tag if, for example, they are located on products next to each other. They are a passive solution (consumes no electrical energy) while still carrying digital data, and the range and sometimes weaker detection is a trade-off for what you get. Also, reading depends on the device that reads them. On my personal phone they read OK and quite responsively.

Jedan od razloga ograničenja je sprječavanje slučajnog očitanja druge naljepnice ako se, primjerice, nalaze na proizvodima koji su jedan do drugog. Predstavljaju rješenje koje je pasivno (ne troši električnu energiju) a opet nosi neki digitalni podatak na sebi, te je raspon i ponekad slabija detekcija ‘trade-off’ za to što se dobije. Također, očitavanje ovisi i o uređaju koji ih čita. Na mom osobnom mobitelu se očitaju OK i dosta responzivno.
