I need the light to turn on and the sound alarm to go off two times rapidly.

Soldered Support:
For intrusion motion detection with a max range of 5m, the PIR Movement sensor board is suitable. If the capacitor on the back of the sensor would interfere with your mounting approach, the PIR Movement sensor board with easyC (Qwiic version) might be better. Keep in mind that the sensor, LED, and sound source must be connected to a microcontroller. The 2 rapid detections can then be programmed onto the microcontroller. The sensor comes with 2 screw holes for secure mounting.
Customer:
We want to use this for detecting when a ball or bag is thrown through a 6" to 12" hole. The lights should flicker and the sound should go off each time the object passes through, which could happen every few seconds. The detection area is approximately two feet by one foot. Do you sell microcontrollers?
Soldered Support:
This is feasible. For a detection area of approximately two feet by one foot, you may need to use two sensors to cover it fully, especially if the PIR sensor will be relatively close to what you’re trying to catch. This will require experimentation, and starting with two sensors is recommended.
We sell the Dasduino CONNECTPLUS microcontroller. To program it, use Arduino and our library for these sensors. Check the documentation at: Pir Sensor - Getting started | Soldered Documentation
We recommend the Qwiic (easyC) version of the PIR sensor because it’s the easiest to connect.
