RGB IR LED Controller direct connection to 12V battery

Customer:

I want to connect an RGB strip directly to a 12V battery using this controller. I know how to connect it to mains power with a 12V 5A power supply, but what do I need to connect it directly to a battery?

Soldered Support:

You can use a male DC connector. Connect the black wire of the connector to the black terminal of the battery, and the red wire to the red terminal. Then connect the connector to the controller, and the controller to the strip. If you don’t have the ability to solder a wire to the battery, you can use alligator clips instead.
